About Us

The Marshfield Elks Lodge #2494 sits on Ocean Street in Marshfield, Massachusetts, a short drive from the coast, and it has been doing exactly what an Elks Lodge should do: bringing people together over good food, good company, and a genuine sense of belonging. With a 4.6-star rating from members and guests alike, this is not a dusty hall collecting cobwebs. It is an active, well-kept space where the bartenders know your name and the kitchen fires up chicken parm and lasagna on game day.

Step inside and you will find a spacious main hall with a stage and dance floor, a full bar, and freshly updated bathrooms that reviewers specifically call out. The room is clean, the layout is generous, and the acoustics work whether you are hosting a bridal shower, a retirement party, or a watch party for the New England Patriots. Members have hosted all of these, and the stories are good.

Beyond the events, Lodge #2494 is part of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, a national fraternal organization founded in 1868 with a mission rooted in charity, justice, and patriotism. Every dollar spent here supports veterans, local youth programs, and South Shore neighbors who need a hand.

What We Offer

The Lodge offers hall rentals that reviewers consistently describe as genuinely affordable for the square footage and time you receive. The main hall accommodates large gatherings with its stage, dance floor, and open bar area, making it a natural fit for wedding showers, anniversary celebrations, fundraisers, and milestone birthdays. The owner and rental coordinator are responsive and communicative, which matters when you are planning an event with a hundred moving parts.

For members, the bar and lounge is open regularly, with friendly bartenders and a relaxed atmosphere that is a cut above the average neighborhood bar. Member-organized events bring homemade meals, sports watch parties, and seasonal gatherings to the calendar throughout the year. The community programs tied to the national Elks mission add another layer: scholarship opportunities, veterans outreach, and charitable giving that make membership more than a social club card.

If you are considering joining, Lodge #2494 welcomes inquiries from U.S. citizens who believe in the Elks values of charity and patriotism. Membership connects you to a national network while keeping your roots planted firmly on the South Shore.
